It's been a funny old week. I really didn't enjoy last Sunday.
I didn’t enjoy the whole Pink experience too much and I’ve sort of copped it from a few people about my performance and deservedly so, I think I was very ordinary. I felt really flat about that because I’d had a charmed run but I’ve had to pull my head in over the past couple of days and get over it and get over myself.
We had a workshop with the big band and James Morrison. I had a great chat with him. He’s a great man. He gave me a lot of perspective and just told me to back to the reason why I sing and my love of singing. That was important for me.
So I’ve been having lots of doubts this week and I’m really homesick. I’m missing my family and mates and teaching and all that sort of stuff. Just a funny week. I was probably due for a downer. It’s been a big down for me but hopefully I can pull myself out of it, I suppose. I’m just trying to enjoy everybody’s company and just get the joy of singing back.
