The World Hunger Relief Week is an initiative from KFC to highlight our global hunger issues and raise funds to assist the UN World Food Programme. With a child dying from hunger every six seconds in the world, your contribution could not be any more important.

Into its third year, 2009’s World Hunger Relief Program is on from the 7th to the 23rd of November. Last year Australia raised $950,000, which built a sustainable food source that fed 300,000 people in the Philippines and Laos in three months, ensuring a future when there wasn’t one.

This year’s mission is to surpass the $1000,000 mark. That’ll be kick-started with a $100,000 donation from KFC and the rest is in your hands! Visit a KFC store between 7th-23rd November to make a gold coin donation, or purchase a frisbee, wristband or pen to help fight world hunger.

So pop into KFC North Parramatta (11 - 13 Harold St, Cnr Villiers St) in Sydney this Saturday to see the Top 9 Idols, who will be there from 10.30am, and to make your contribution.
