Fresh from her performance on the ARIA Awards red carpet, Ricki-Lee Coulter is returning to Australian Idol this Monday for a Verdict Night perfromance of her brand new single "Love Is All Around" from her second solo album Brand New Day.

Ricki-Lee, who was a shock early exit in the second season of Idol, has scored a massive hit with her previous single "Can't Touch It" as well as "Sunshine", "Hell No!" and songs such as "This Time I Know It's For Real" as a member of the Young Divas, whom she recently left in order to focus on her solo career.

Recently married Ricki-Lee decided that the song, which touches on love in all its forms, was an obvious choice for her new single. "I knew the timing would be the perfect, after the wedding – its been nothing but a love-fest for me this year!" she laughs.

The new song is a lot more poppy than the club-oriented "Can't Touch This", something that Ricki-Lee says was obvious given her personality. "I'm a multi-dimensional person and the stories I tell through my music are that too," she explains. "Brand New Day is all about range, whether it be my range of sound, my emotions or personal experiences. Nothing sounds exactly the same on that album."

No doubt Ricki-Lee will be very interested to meet this year's batch of finalists as well. Although it's been a while since she was a contestant on Australian Idol, she admits she is "obsessed" with watching the show. Ricki-Lee told us earlier this year that she was delighted that Dicko was back ("He was my favourite judge when I was on the show") and was thrilled by Marcia's new fiesty side ("Marcia is going off! I love it!").

Recently declared to be Idol's most successful female artists, as well as being crowned Fave Female Singer at the 2007 Nickelodean Kids' Choice Awards, no doubt this Monday will be another Ricki-Lee performance not to be missed.
