The song is from his newest offering The Memphis Album, his fourth album and a tribute to the "Memphis sound" of the sixties. Songs such as Sam & Dave's "Hold On I'm Coming", Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" and Otis Redding's "Dock Of The Bay", all of which Guy performs versions of on the album.

"I grew up with these songs, I had a taste for them when I was really young," Guy explains. "I guess for me, doing a concept album, I didn't want to be dressing up as someone else or being an impersonator. I just wanted to bring a modern take on the songs and yet remain true to the songs and retain an old school feel."

In August this year Guy travelled to Memphis, Tennessee to record the album at the legendary Stax Studios, working with many of the musicians who played on the original versions of the songs. He co-produced the album with Steve Cropper, who co-wrote classics like "In The Midnight Hour" and "Knock On Wood".

"Initially I thought I'm going to get there and I'm going to freak out," Guy says. "I thought I was going to feel so inadequate but I got there and something grabbed hold of me and I just knew this was my arena. If I am going to shine in any arena, it is going to be blues and soul."

Guy did record one original track, titled "I'd Like To Get To Know You" for inclusion alongside the classic tracks. Written some years ago, he didn't feel it fit on his previous albums. Recorded with the amazing band at Stax, it fits right in.

"This album just reminded me that this is who I am," Guy explains. "It was so much fun. I just had a ball."
