The 26-year-old has come a long way from childhood ballet lessons, kids TV roles and pub gigs in her hometown of Melbourne. With sheer determination and talent, Natalie has survived the entire Australian Idol competition.
And hearing that news that she was in the Final 2 was a moment she’ll never forget.
"It's probably one of the biggest rushes I've ever got," she explains. "It makes you feel like everything I've ever worked towards is there. Like, I get to sing at the final, final, final show – it's awesome."
Making the final, and having performed at her last performance show, has been a chance for Natalie to reflect upon all she has learned in her time on Idol.
"When I think about the highlights, they're so high," she says. "You feel like you can do anything, face the things that you're scared of most and as a performer I've always wanted to do those things. I've learnt how to channel into my emotions so I can actually connect with a song and connect with an audience, and that's probably one of the best things I've ever learnt."
Whatever the public’s decision this Sunday, Natalie has triumphed on the national stage and fulfilled many of her dreams.
"I think success is something you achieve if you work hard for whatever you want," she explains. "So I feel like at this time of my life I've succeeded."
