It's only a matter of days before Natalie Gauci and Matt Corby will perform the three songs that will help the nation to decide their fate.

This Sunday sees the pair debut their own versions of the Australian Idol winner's song "Here I Am" as well as two other top secret songs each.

Both will meet with musical director John Foreman, vocal coach Erana Clark and performance coach John Rowe to make their final performances as special as they can be – and try their best to put any thought of pressure out of their minds.

Perhaps most excitingly, Matt and Nat have been in the recording studio this week recording the winner's single. Both have been working on their own versions of the track for the past few weeks, Natalie especially trying to give her interpretation a "more female feel". "I'm going for a gospel kind of thing," she says. Matt is also determined to make the song sound as much like his own style as possible.

Natalie and Matt will also be heading to the Sydney Opera House in preparation for the Grand Final, checking out and soaking up the atmosphere of the venue for what will no doubt be the most exciting night of their lives.

It's just over a week until Natalie and Matt will be reunited with the Final 12 and in front of the who's who of the local entertainment industry will discover which of them will be crowned Australian Idol 2007 in front of an audience of millions.
