I'm pretty bloody tired after my trip home but what a fantastic trip it was.
I got to sing “Big, Big Love” in the back of the truck with Troy. He’s my biggest idol of all time, I really admire the man, it was great. I’d never met him before. A bunch of mates were down at the pub one day and he was down there playing. They said, come down and meet Troy, and there was a heap of people down there. I said, no, I’d rather do it when one day I’ll walk up and shake his hand and say, ‘G’day mate’, and I did that yesterday, so it’s a dream come true.
So a big day yesterday. It was good to see all my animals and the family and just breathing some country air for a change.
Other than that, I’m really looking forward to this weekend, singing two country songs and two of my favourites, so it should be good.
I just want to say a big thank you very much to my Dad and my sister for organising most of the get together. To all my family and friends and supporters who came from all over to show their support and their love, I just want to say a big, big thank you very much. I’ve taken another piece of home back down here with me and hopefully I can bring it out on stage and show everyone what it’s all about.
Kate
