Week One

Hello everyone,

Thanks for coming to my blog. It’s really nice that you’ve come here to catch up on what’s going on.

So basically it’s been a hideous couple of days of press and photos and media and workshops, but it looks like things are starting to slow down a little. Just starting to settle into the house. I had a couple of hours to kill this morning, so I went for a walk down to the beach and had a great big breakfast with Luke. First chance to do something recreational! Can’t find a bad coffee anywhere in Sydney.

I’d like to say a giant thanks to everyone that’s supporting me and voting, especially friends and family back home. Thanks for all the messages of support, and my apologies for not getting back to you, it’s really just a matter of time. I also wanna express my deepest gratitude to those of you who aren’t judging me on my appearance. I hope my sense of humor and personality is coming across on TV, it’s always hard to tell when you’ve got a mic and a camera in your face.

So for those of you that are looking beyond my image I just wanna give you a massive man hug. That to me means more than anything in this competition.

The Idol house is very nice, and we’re being well and truly looked after by Sam, the house manager. Everyone seems to be getting along pretty well, and I think the more we get to know each other, the more we’ll get to understand what each other needs are so we can all get along harmoniously.

I’m missing my beautiful wife and my beautiful bunnies, and all my family and friends.

Thanks for your support and if I could give you all a big hug, I would, but I can’t so too bad.
