As Idol's Mr Music, John Foreman has the massive task of overseeing the arranging the songs for each Australian Idol  performance every week.
Despite his young age, John is already an industry veteran with an international reputation. In fact, when José Carreras stepped forward to perform at the Opening Ceremony of the Asian Games in 2006, he performed a John Foreman song, Light the Way.
At just 19 John became musical director on Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton , and remained by the TV legend's side for 12 years.
After winning the Nescafe Big Break in 1991, John released his debut album No Jivin'  which received both APRA and ARIA Award nominations.
Gaining a name as a live artist, John was a special international guest artist at the 1995 Montreal International Jazz Festival, and worked with Shirley Bassey on her 1997 and 1999 Australian tours.
In 2000 he wrote The Flame , the official song of the Sydney Olympics Games, performed by Tina Arena, and Melbourne Girl  for the handover ceremony at the closing of the 2002 Commonwealth Games, performed by Vanessa Amorosi.
John went on to be musical director of Carols By Candlelight, the Logie Awards and The School Spectacular.
The Idols have also kept him busy in the studio; John has worked with both Guy Sebastian and Shannon Noll and produced Anthony Callea's record breaking single The Prayer , which was a favourite on the show. He also worked with Marcia Hines on her album Hinesight - Songs Of The Journey .
In 2005 John released his first book, Your Guide To Unlocking The Australian Music Industry  and was a judge on the World Cup theme search Song For The Socceroos, going on to produce the winning entry.
