Hi, this week's been pretty full on - am starting to get pretty tired after all of it.

There’s a lot of kind of waiting around that happens and you've got to kind of 'hurry and wait', which they're always saying. 

But it's been good, got to do all sorts of things that I've never done before - doing photo shoots and talking to press and the media and all that kind of stuff, which is good fun.

I've just been working on my song. Got to work with Suzi Quatro the other day, she's a pretty cool chick. She just roughed me up a bit and told me to not be so uptight, which is kind of good.

The house we've moved into is just an incredible place; it's this massive big mansion, which is awesome. Living with all the other 12 housemates has been really cool. We get to jam a lot and just sit around, it's a good, close group, so we've become all good mates.

I'm a little bit anxious about this week's performance; it's something I haven't really done a lot of so far - the whole kind of rockier thing. I'm used to a bit more cruisier stuff but doing this more edgier stuff definitely pulls me out of my comfort zone a little bit. At the same time, I think it should be good fun - hopefully it works out. I think I've just got to let my hair down a little bit - well, not let my hair down because I don't have much hair - but just have fun with it a little bit more.

I'm feeling pretty positive about everything. This is really showing us what Idol's all about. It's hard but at the same time, I am enjoying it. I’m a little bit anxious about my song coming up but gotta stay positive and just do what I gotta do. Obviously with the eviction coming up, that’s always in the back of your mind – whether or not I’ll get to perform the song I’ve been practising all this week but fingers crossed I get another shot.

Shout out to all my family and friends back home, and my hometown – big shout out to Wingham and all the support I’ve been getting from there, and Taree and Newcastle as well, they’ve kind of adopted me as a local boy, which is really cool. And a big shout out to everyone who’s supporting me and everyone’s who’s voting for me, it’s good having that behind me – thanks guys.
