My week’s been awesome. We had a photo shoot with the Madden boys yesterday, which was kind of surreal.
You can see them in the mags and just to meet them live, in real life was really cool.
Today we’re at the CanTeen and Sony event and it’s been really great. We met five incredible people with courageous hearts who really have something that they want to do with their life. Just to see how selfless they are and how they want to help others and it’s not about them is just incredible because with something like cancer it’s so ok to be selfish, so that was incredible. Just to have chats with them and to hear their stories was really amazing.
This week we’re doing two songs which is really cool. I’m doing a song by Fall Out Boy called “I Don’t Care” and a song by The Gossip called “Heavy Cross”. I’m really excited about the songs on Sunday and I really can’t wait to get out there and do it for the girls.
As you know I’m the only girl standing and it’s a real honour to be doing it for the girls. I hope I make a lot of girls out there proud and there’s no reason for them to think that I don’t deserve to be here and just show that through my performance. I’m really excited and just can’t wait to get out there and show Australia why I’m still here.
