And my hubby will be happy about that, I'm sure 
Driving around yesterday when Kelly Clarkson's "I Do Not Hook Up" came on and I was a bit excited. Actually don't mind some of her songs and think she has a beautiful voice but that's not the point of my story LOL. Found myself singing along to the song and got about 2/3 of the way through it when I finally realised why I wasn't loving it as much anymore - compared to Hayley's version it just seemed so lifeless. The song, that I used to love singing along to in my car, now holds no interest for me because all I can think of is how much more I LOVE Hayley's version. I don't think I'll ever listen to anything she's covered and like it as much anymore ... and I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing

The same thing happened to me with a different song.
It was Paloma Faith's Stone Cold Sober.
I knew the original and after Hayley sang it I'm like how on earth is she better than Paloma when its Paloma's song.
Its all a bit backwards.
I agree about the Kelly Clarkson song too.

Well... you're both going to kill me, but I still love Kelly's original of this song (actually Katy Perry wrote/sung the original I hear, but her voice isn't my cuppa tea).

I'm just saying... muffled voice from hiding spot I love Hayley's voice but Kelly Clarkson has one of the most amazing voices to have ever come out of American Idol, I mean have you heard the woman sing live, she's practically flawless (well to my ears anyway). But Hayley did a fabulous song of this song, don't get me wrong.
BUT.... that said I prefer most of the covers Hayley's has done. Even old classics like Oh What A Night just become brand new and so beautiful. I've never liked the song Light Surrounding You (don't kill me please Evermore fans!) but Hayley made me love it. Funhouse was my least favourite Pink song and again, Hayley made me love it. So yeah... you get my point.. I think.. lol

IdolHeart looks around for Chelle Aha, found you!! LMAO It's all good buddy. The best thing about WW! is that we're all so open to each other's opinions. I agree with you though; I adore Kelly Clarkson's voice. She's far and away the best person to come out of American Idol ... and I predict that one day very soon our Hails will be experiencing the same success!!!

This is true... except for Dancing in the Dark. And possibly Leave. But that's already pretty bad, anyway.

As always, I admire your honesty! And you're right, it's not a great song by any standards ... but I think Hayley could probably get up there and sing Twinkle Twinkle and we'd love it - well maybe not you Jess LOL but the rest of us!!! There'd be rave reviews from Coaster and I about how she really connected with the emotion of the song and just brought it to life!!! Hmmm ... Hayley Warner does Twinkle Twinkle - I might have to suggest it to her because I see a lot of potential LMAO

You always seem to find me!  Just like when I voted on Pops polls that one time and put Hayley second... I should have written in tiny, tiny font and changed it to white... hehehe
It won't be happening again though, that was a one off.
I love that we can have debates in here and joke around with each other, I mean it really is a great group of people. 
And yes, I predict our Hails will be very successful, she just has that star quality about her.
