Wes Carr Chat Transcript

WES says:
Hey everyone, I'm here now... Paulfitwah? What an interesting name that is!!!

Sasxoxo says to:
Hey Wes! Saskia here, I'm a huge fan :) how are you? Which mentor has had the biggest inspirational impact on you as an artist? luv u heaps xxxx

WES says:
Cindi Lauper - she was so down to earth and such an inspirational artist I really clicked with her.

hiusan says:
Have you and the rest of the top 12 been practicing hard for the grand final for the last few days ?
WES says:
yeah yeah we have. We've been working really hard. I think I've got about 9 dress changes and I haven't had much sleep from the premiere of " Australia " last night and feeling a little husky with the voice. Hopefully I'll be in full voice by Sunday.

dancingqueen229 says:
hay Wes!! =)  oh you're so cool.  I'm such a fan. of you and MICHAEL JACKSON! when I heard you loved him I loved you even more. haha. so what is your favourite MJ song written??
WES says:
My favourite MJ song would have to be equal draw between Billie Jean and Beat it! Meeting Jermaine was pretty damn cool! Thanks heaps, you're very sweet..

veevee87 says:
Hi Wes, congratulations on everything! :] I’ve listened to your pre-Idol solo work and I really dig the laid-back acoustic style, but I also enjoy seeing you rock out. Which style do you think you’re going to lean towards more in your post-Idol career?

WES says:
I'm going to do both.. acoustic ballads to Rock and roll, my music is very eclectic... thanks heaps! I've written heaps of songs I'm proud of them all.. I love to rock it out  its fun especially on the idol stage, what a blast it's been!

madmonkeyys says:
Wes  I saw you at Parramatta and on Sunday night I love the way you played the guitar and how did you learn to play the guitar
WES says:
I taught myself. I remember the actual day I decided that I'd actually string my mum's guitar and went and bought the Nirvana MTV Unplugged chord chart book and taught myself from there! As long as you play with passion doesn't matter. Keep on playing mate!!!

DeLtaLex says:
Hey Wes you're amazing..love your work! (you rocked desire && black and white!) Who would you choose as your mentor for one week in Australian Idol?
WES says:
I'd love it if Paul McCartney agreed to come and Michael Jackson. I would say John Lennon if the great man was still alive.

iiizzz says:
Wes! You have done so amazing! My friend tessa is in love with you and she wants to know what's the hardest thing about the whole idol experience?

WES says:
Wow! I suppose getting up in front of the nation and having a 90 minute window to prove yourself to sink or swim. Sometimes there is a lot of pressure but you have to keep focused and make every post a winner!

geofflaws says:
G'day Wes! Love ya work mate! Just wondering what you have planned to sing at the Opera house on Sunday?

WES says:
don't know how much I'm allowed to say but I'm really looking forward to stepping out onto the Opera House steps and it's just gonna be one big party and I cant wait. I'm honoured to be standing next to Luke.

Shenay says:
Hey Wes,  congrats for coming so far. I liked you since the commercial of Idol when you when "WOOO" and flicked your hair. haha your mad as! I was just wondering if you like john butler? and ps: my fave original songs of yours is Simple Sum, ITS MY RING

WES says:
Ring??? Ok... that's cool. Thanks so much! Yeah I like John Butler and think he's an amazing musician. And what a band he has. Being known for a while as the guy who did the "WOO" in the ad was quite funny. hahahaha... How'd ya know I was mad?

lil_pimp says:
Wes, Which idol were you most disappointed to see leave throughout the series?

WES says:
Top 24 I wanted Ollie Corpe to go through. He was a really mature 16 year old who I thought deserved a place here, also I thought Brooke Adamo left too early. I think her version of Better Davies Eyes rocked the house but I was disappointed when all of them left.

Supernaturalgul says:
Cant wait for you to bring out your first single, I'm so going to buy it
WES says:
Thanks so much. I love it too.

melanie07 says:
Wes I have been your fan since the auditions and I was just wondering what has been your top favourite experience in this comp this year

WES says:
Meeting Jermaine Jackson for MJ night was just a surreal experience!!!

teamtwomey says:
Honestly Wes you are such a favourite to win do you think Luke has a chance?

WES says:
No I really do think Luke has a chance - a very big chance and he deserves it. He's an amazing person and honest and loyal and he and I will always be mates after this no matter what happens.

blakth says:
Wes I am going to try out for idol next year could you give me any tips ?
WES says:
Stay true to yourself and be proud of who you are and as long as you do what you feel is right, no one can argue with that. GO FOR IT buddy!

kaseym_10 says:
hey Wes can u please collaborate with mark? u 2 rock!

WES says:
See what happens down the track but at the moment I've got 500 songs to show the world and I think they deserve to be heard first.

teamtwomey says:
So Wes you plan to go international?

WES says:
Hopefully! I've been to LA once and worked over there for 3 months and yeah I hope to go wherever my music leads me. That'd be a dream come true.

DeLtaLex says:
Would you do the whole "Idol Experience" all over again?

WES says:
Yeah I would, but I wouldn't change a thing. For the first time in my life I'm proud for what I've done and it's given me the confidence to continue with my music and I highly recommend it to any musician out there. I'll have to have a holiday first!

pattygags says:
hey Wes, congratulations on everything. I love your voice. Do you come from a musical family? Does anyone in your family sing?
WES says:
No not at all. But I have been told that my great great grandfather could tap dance with a schooner of beer on his head and not spill a drop! He also played the piano accordion.

jesspahh says:
Wes are you nervous for Sunday?

WES says:
No. Just excited. Whatever happens, happens now and I'm just gonna be proud as punch standing on the Opera House steps with Mr. Luke Dickens.

InvasiveEcho says:
If you could have chosen a theme night, what would it have been?

WES says :
Original Song Night I suppose and another idea I had was try to learn and instrument in a week that you don't know and see how far you can get with it. That would be cool! Everybody starts on a level playing field and see how far you get with your instrument of choice. I think that that would be very funny but interesting at the same time.

messyjessy878 says:
is it really Wes talking??

WES says:
Hey messyjessy878! YES it REALLY is!!! ;-)

hiusan says:
Wow that's awesome! You're such a great performer on stage, how did you build up so much confidence ?

WES says:
I've just been doing it forever man. To me it's like waking up in the morning. If you gave me a moths test, I wouldn't have that much confidence. It's the only thing I know how to do. And woops, I spelt you wrong. Maybe if you gave me a grammar test, I'd probably fail that as well.. haha

peterdixon says:
forgotten me already Wes?....

WES says:
Oh Dicko! There there! You know I love you.

dalbs19 says:
Hi Wes, just wondering if you could plan your own Australian tour right now, who would be on the top of your list for support acts? Best of luck for Sunday! xox

WES says:
I don't know who would support me but I'd love to do some festivals next year. I'll see how it all goes I suppose.

kimba61 says:
May I ask if there is any chance you went to ULURU a couple of years back? If not, you know what they say about everyone having a double... yours was there!
WES says:
Was it David Spade? hahahaha No I've never been to Uluru but I'd love to go. I've heard it's great this time of year.

madmonkeyys says:
Hey Wes who's your fave judge and why

WES says:
I thought they were all sweet but different in their own right. Dicko's good for an intelligent chat, and Kyle's a softie and Marcia's good for a cuddle and she's like a mum! I know it sounds sucky but they're all cool.

Supernaturalgul says:
Hey Wes got any tips for a wanna be singer?

WES says :
Sing in tune and stay true to who you are and as long as it's got passion and soul then you'll be fine.

DiamondLea says:
Hi Wes. My whole family supports you and we all think you will win. My question is If you had 1 million dollars what would you do?xxxxDiamondLea
WES says:
I'd buy a whole bunch of guitars and I'd love to buy a bungalow in either North Bondi or LA and also red Whirly and Grand Piano and a studio. One Million dollars doesn't go far these days though!

Cutie1512 says:
Hey Wes, Georgie here ... Random Question - you're a natural performer, Charlotte 's a talented actress (EVERYONE WAT CHANNEL 10 - 10.30PM) ... How did you two meet? (You two are SO cute together)

WES says:
She is the most amazing human being when I met her, I instantly fell in love. I'll always remember meeting her for the first time. The reason why I decided to take on Idol this year was pretty much her persuasiveness! Thanks so much - I'll tell her that.

CactusJack says:
Hey Wes will you be able to get to Canberra soon?

WES says:
Yeah I've been there before. I love Canberra . I've played the Green Room a few times.

veevee87 says:
Wes, who are some of your favourite bands or singers at the moment?

WES says:
I love the MGMT record, Kings of Leon, Ryan Adams, Nick Drake, Nirvana, The Beatles, Ray Lamontagne. But my all time fave band at the moment is a band from Adelaide called "Former Child Stars".

bustehtbaby says:
I just want you too know I've been supporting you the whole way you have such talent and bring life into your singing and that's a hard thing too do , I just want too know what gave you the courage too actually follow your dream ?
WES says:
A lot of things. I felt like this year I grew up as a man and felt like I could tackle a monster like Idol. My gf played a big part and you just have to have self belief and do things with integrity and honesty. It was now or never really.

sammi101 says:
Wes u rock Wes if u won idol would it change ur life and what has been ur highlight on idol

WES says :
Michael Jackson was the highlight and it definitely changed my life, in fact it already has.

WES says :
Ok I have to go now... BUT I just wanted to say thanks so much for voting. It's been an absolute pleasure to be a part of Australian Idol this year and what  year it's been. I hope I do you proud on Sunday no matter what happens. LOVE AND PEACE! Wes :)

Luke Dickens Chat Transcript

LUKE says: Hey everyone - I'm here and ready for your questions!

BlutoBear says: Luke, first off, we love ya mate...you're brilliant!! And do you read the posts on the forums and the messages sent?
LUKE says: Yeah man. I check 'em out when I get a spare chance and I've seen a couple of your messages BlutoBear and you're a bloody champion. Gotta thank you for your support. its people like you that have kept me in the comp!!! You've given me a few laughs too man!!!

madmonkeyys says: hey luke i cant belive i am really talking to u i love your voice and i love how you come from the farm my question is , is it true that you learnt how to play the guitar by yourself without going to lessons?
LUKE says: yep! It sure is. I had about 4 lessons when i was about 9 years old, but I sort of thought of it as homework and wasn't learning the sort of music I was interested in. So when I turned 20, I just decided to get one and sound it out for meself. Great way...... to fill in time was the original purpose, and i you stick at something like that, its so rewarding!

iiizzz says: LUKE! i would just like to say you are so amazing at singing and you have come so far! What was your favourite performance you did on idol so far?
LUKE says: Geez I don't know. There's been a few now haven't there and my head's in such a spin this week, I can't even remember half of them. But I did enjoy singing "Turn The Page" the other night. Always been one of me favourite songs and it's got some heavy...meanings! I was running on empty monday night but scraped through and had a ball so that was probably my favourite performance.

dragonfly1 says: Hi Luke, if you win (and I hope you do) how do you think this will change your life
LUKE says: Well Brooke will be able to stay home with Jordan instead of us both having to work and making music was always just a dream. it'd be nice to see it come true and secondly my back will last a little longer in the music industry and out of the sheds.

BlutoBear says: What I wanna know is, when you hit the road on tour, and you're SO famous that you're ordering your pink M&m's to be removed from the bowl, will ya still sign an autograph for me mate?
LUKE says: it's funny you should say that coz we did a gig for 2Day FM and they asked if we wanted anything, and me and Wes thought it would be funny to ask for a bowl of orange M&M's - so the girls sorted them out for us and we pi***ed ourselves laghing...... but for sure I'll sign an autograph for ya man!!!

idol_freak says: i'm guessing you didn't see my question before so i'll just ask again =) do you have any advice for people who are wanting audition for next year? loved your single by the way and cant wait to see you at the opera house. i was lucky enough to get tix
LUKE says: Hi Idol_freak - Pick your favourite songs now, and get at least 5 of them together and just roll up. Sometimes you gotta jump in the deep end and just give it all you got. Good on ya for wanting to have a go - it started off the funnest thing I'd ever..... done and now it's the best thing I've ever done.

iiizzz says: hey again haha who was your favourite mentor and why?
LUKE says: I guess Chris Isaak and Darren Hayes were both 2 of the easiest going blokes I've met so far. Had great advice and were very down to earth! Never used to listen to Darren Hayes's stuff but after meeting the bloke, helps you appreciate his style...... and Chris is just cool from start to finish!

madmonkeyys says: Hey Luke umm What do you think of if i wanted to play the guitar but dont want to go to lessons how should i practise?
LUKE says: First thing is to be patient because the longer you spend at it the better you get and also tab's are a great way to learn coz they tell you where to put your fingers and you can remember patterns that way. You can downloads tabs off the net for any... song you like. I used them a lot starting out.

dragonfly1 says: How did you enjoy being mentored by some great singers, for me Chris Isaak was da bomb!... he seems to be a great muso, and super funny bloke... was he good value?
LUKE says: Hi dragonfly1 - yeah he was the man! Treated us all equal to himself and his band. was an absolute honour to spend time with the bloke. You couldn't get a nicer guy and he even had a few jams with us.

oldgirl65 says: what is your favourite song of all time?
LUKE says: November Rain has always been a cracker. I probably enjoy it as much today as the first time it blew me away when I was about 9 years old. Love Guns n' Roses and that's probably their best.

madmonkeyys says: who were you closest to in the idol house??
LUKE says: Wes for sure. Remember playing round with his guitar in the early stages of the top 100 and knocking out a few blues riffs through the whole journey. He knows a lot of people and knows a lot about Sydney and he's a true Aussie & a hard worker & calls a... spade a spade. Roshani as well was like a little sister and me and her sang the blues a few times. She used to give me chills.

BlutoBear says: Have you started writing your own stuff mate? I would LOVE to hear some of what comes from YOUR heart and head....Has there been an indication of what can go on the album after Idol's over?
LUKE says: Me heads been too full with this business at the moment. I was just telling the boys the other day that when it's over I can't wait to put pen to paper with a clear mind. I've got many stories and I've heard many tunes so you can bet your a** I'm gonna... mix it up. Love the blues and soul music and can't wait to make some rock'n'roll!

sharkies1967 says: luke do you plan on moving back to young or finding a place in the city to focus more on building a singing career?
LUKE says: Kinda depends on what happens after Sunday. If I take this thing out then I'll probably have to move a bit closer to the city for a while anyway because Im gonna dedicate a lot of time and hard work into the first couple of albums, but I'll always have ... a home in Young. It would be nice to be able to go back whenever I need to get away.

BlutoBear says: That's cool....and do you, and be honest here mate, do you think it's just a little bit weird that you got 45 year old poofs (can I say that) and old(er) Ladies freaking out over you?
LUKE says: Nah I reckon it's great. I want everyone to like what i do, and not everyone's gonna so you'd be mad to pick and choose your fans. I'm over the moon that all different people like my style & not just one mob.

tvfreak1010 says: Do you see yourself giving an international career a go, or do you think most of your appeal will be in Australia?
LUKE says: To tell the truth, I can't be sure mate. I guess money-wise bigger is better in this game but I only ever started out because I loved the music and I'll probably follow that before the dollar, plus I love Australia and never had any intentions of going...overseas previously so it would have to be a solid reason to leave my country.

missembar says: So what made you shave the goatie off?? I hope it wasn't because Kyle nagged each week.
LUKE says: haha... the cheeky buggers slipped my girlfriend a microphone during the ad break and when we went back to air, the cameras were on her and they asked he what I should do with it...she didnt hesitate to tell me chop it off so that was it. Signed sealed and clippered!

missembar says: Which judge would you like to have a beer with and what would you talk about??
LUKE says: Kyle is pi** funny backstage and even on air I guess, just a little more r-rated when the cameras are off him. Makes everyone laugh and we kinda share the same humour sometimes so I guess if we had a night on it, there'd be a few funny stories told.

oldgirl65 says: Luke is there anything you miss from the outside (while living in the house) that you havent been able to get access to?
LUKE says: I miss me little boy and Brooke and I really miss me dogs too. Kinda wish I brought me bike to Sydney as well. Looking forward to a ride when I get home.

DeLtaLex says: what was your favourite song to sing in the competition?
LUKE says: Piano Man in the top 100 was a real buzz because I'd never sang with a band before and especially one of that calibre. John (Foreman) played the piano just like Billy Joel and my very first audience lifted the roof!!!

didee30 says: Luke you deserve to be there in the top two and good luck on Sunday, how do you think you will go?
LUKE says: 50/50 chance mate! Don't have a clue, haven't had a clue. I can never pick it and especially not now. Thought I'd have been gone a long time ago, so I'm gonna give up on that way of thinking and say that anything's possible. Thanks for the luck too...I need all I can get.

madmonkeyys says: Luke what type of bike do you have and do you go 4wdrivng if you have a 4wd
LUKE says: I've got an '01 model Honda Fireblade 929. It's the craziest toy I've ever owned and the scariest thing I used to do before Australian Idol. It's got 288KM on the clock but I don't think I'll be reaching that anytime soon...No 4WD buddy, but maybe one day.

sarahmoore94 says: when you auditioned did you expect that you would get this far?
LUKE says: OF COURSE NOT! It's on everyone's mind when you roll up to the auditions, that "what if you did make it to the end", but when you start hearing how good everyone else is around you, you can throw a few doubts your way...you just gotta keep following your heart and being yourself and I guess my little story is proof that anything's possible.

LUKE says: Hey guys I have run now... They got the whips out and everything's moving real quick. We haven't had any rest since Monday night and there won't be any before Sunday. Just want you ALL to know that I've been reading your messages and they...mean the world to me. Can't thank you guys enough for your support. This has been a ride I'll never forget. Peace to all you guys and hope you's enjoy sunday night! Catch ya!!!!

Mark Spano Chat Transcript

Mark says: Hey guys! I'm here now... who's up?

FrenchKittyCat: Hey Gorgeous Absolutely gutted you missed out on the Opera House. But I don't want to make you feel worse so a cheery questions. Have you got much original material stashed away for your first album?
Mark says: Hello darling! I've got plenty of original material in the back catalogue. Things that I've been writing for many years and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to release them, and it seems like now is the time and don't worry, I FEEL FANTASTIC!!!

Psavop: Hey Mark. How are you?.. So sorry to watch you leave idol- This ISNT the end, it's the beginning. What was your favourite performance you did on idol?.. You're amazing babe xxxx Pamela
Mark says: Thank you darlin'! Maybe my fave performance was one that you didn't get to see. Tonight I was meant to sing "You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Cocker and it felt the best and everyone who saw it said it would have been my best performance.

toddt85: Mark, if you get signed with Sony, and I sure hope you do, would you be happy to release your "winner's" single? I really want to hear it!
Mark says: I would LOVE to release the winners single that I was given coz it is a fantastic song and I'm really upset I didn't get to sing it, so hopefully they'll let me release it.

harry9: I'm talking to Mark :) - What was your personal favourite performance? Mine was your rendition of Angie. Amazing.
Mark says: Everybody Hurts was one of my favourites because it was stripped back, as was Angie, and I'm so thankful that you enjoyed it, and I think that I'll be singing both of them in upcoming tours, and I hope you can be there.

rebeccadrivas: Hey Mark.. just wanna let u know ur brilliant! You've got the whole sexy, husky, bad boy thing going on.. u really did deserve 2 win, but don't think u need to worry about a career in music, ur amazing! What's your favourite song of all time and why?
Mark says: That's a very long question darlin, but I'm glad you asked it. My fave song of all time is probably "Bad Day" by Fuel, but November Rain by guns and roses is up there.

coolnessisme: Hey Mark. You were my favourite idol this year. I was so devastated when you got eliminated tonight. My question tonight is what judge said gave you a comment that you thought helped you the most through the idol journey and what was the comment????
Mark says:Wow what a tough question. You're a tough cookie for making me think. Maybe it was Kyle when he said to me backstage to just be yourself and if anyone tries to change you or tries to make you do something you don't wanna do tell them where to go and I think that runs through in every walk of life not just in music.

bendanfan:What are your views on the reformatting of Idol?
Mark says: I think it's been good in a sense that people have another opportunity to vote and another opportunity to see their favourite Idol sing again. There's been a lot of changes in Idol this year and I'm glad to have been a part of such a historic year.

nbangel80: Hi Mark, first of all congrats on getting into the top 3, Did you ever have a time during Idol where you thought your voice was going
crack under the strain of singing all the time and did you do anything to keep it healthy.

Mark says: I did feel as though I was losing my voice at times because I know what its like to have lost it quite dramatically, but with a lot of rest and steaming, it's the best way to look after your voice.

profesoraowl: Mark, do you have any advice for someone just learning to play the guitar? You're an inspiration.
Mark says: Thank you very much. Never stop practicing. Doesn't matter whether you're learning other people's songs or writing your own stuff, just stick to it and always enjoy. Doesn't matter what you do, always have fun.

DiamondLea: Hey Mark. Really Sorry To See You Leave....My whole family supports you and we Really Hoped and Thought you would make it. I Hope you continue in a music career and what I would like ask is who is your favourite singer and other idol contestant?
Mark says: Thanks so much for your support mate. I hoped I'd be there too but I have had the most amazing experience and I wouldn't change a thing. I think the most beautiful and talented contestant to have ever stood on the Idol stage would have to be the stunning Ricki Lee. (She is sitting next to me and death staring me). But there are so many talented and wonderful Idol contestants

tazitombi: what was your best experience?
Mark says: The whole 'journey' has been an amazing experience that is incomparable with any other that I've had in my life and it's hard to put it down to just one.

Chrisanthi: Mark, do you plan on playing with your old band again or are you going solo?  I agree, Angie was fantastic!
Mark says: I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet in regards to collaborating with other musicians. I think I'm going to take a bit of time off, and maybe tour in the near future. so if I can't find any better musicians than I played with in the past, then I would be more than happy to play with the excellent musicians and people that I used to play with.

hommus: Hey Mark, you were by far my favourite of all the contestants I've seen on idol over the years. I just wanted to know if you could perform a suet with any band/artist (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
Mark says: I would like 2 sing with M Hutchence. My three fave vocalists are him, Kurt Cobain & Jim Morrison. Unfortunately all the people I ever wanted to meet are dead and I will meet them soon. But for now, I would like to thank YOU, my favourite fan Hommus!!!

arwen20: Who were you closest to out of all the idol contestants ?
Mark says: I think I was very close to Teale and Luke as well. Mainly coz I spent a lot of time with those guys and we all think the same. they're really great blokes and we're gonna be mates for years to come.

impulsee656: who was your favourite mentor and why?
Mark says: I'm going to say that apart from meeting the boys from Inxs who have been my Idols for MANY years, Chris Isaak was one of the nicest people I've ever met, and he had the most beautiful blue eyes I've ever seen and from a straight  mans point of view, he is a handsome man and a man who treats everybody equally.

tessiz: mark I loved you on idol this year please don't stop singing coz you could make such a good career so many people love you!! what was the hardest thing about being on idol??
Mark says: The hardest thing would have to be the constant work that we would be subjected to. It wasn't always the hardest work, but the fact that we only ever had two days off in 3 months was something I've never experiences before.

bendanfan: Do you admire any recent/contemporary artists?
Mark says: Well I'm a massive fan of Velvet Revolver, even though they are a super group of the 90's. Kings of Leon are a great example of new music that can still shock people in an original way.

almacl: Mark out of Wes and Luke who do u think will win idol 08
Mark says: My pic from the start has been Wes, and he is a magnificent musician, very experienced but I think Luke is a natural talent that has just been surface and I think he has an amazing future in front of him as much as I think Wes will win, I would love to see Luke with the $200K.

nats4you: Hi Mark, How has idol changed you on a personal level?
Mark says: Idol hasn't changed me in the slightest. It has actually made me realise that it's best to be hated for who you are, than loved for who you're not.

iluvFOB: what's your fave chocolate?
Mark says: I'm not a massive chocolate fan, I'd rather have two mains than a dessert.

brybry123: who gave u the best tips out of the judge that u took advantage of it
Mark says: I didn't really take much of the judge's advice on board. One thing I've learnt from this experience is that everyone has an opinion on what you do, but at the end of the day, the only opinion that maters is your own.

FrenchKittyCat: You are, obviously, quite the ladies man... do you use your powers for good or evil?
Mark says: I think good and evil is a perception and what I would think is good other people would think is evil, so I just do what I do.

coolnessisme:  hi how you going. if you could play any instrument besides the one  you are playing at the moment. which would you like to start playing?
Mark says: I also play drums and bass and piano, as well as guitar but I've always wanted to be a drummer, but I haven't practiced enough and I don't have the room for a kit in my house.

buffster: Not sure if anyone has asked already, but are you planning on recording the song you sang in your audition?
Mark says: I am intending on recording that song. Its actually one of my favourites to sing and Id love for it to be recorded and shared with the world. I'm glad you liked it, assuming you did ;)

lana20: My friend kind of has a crush on you and she wanted me to ask you with you being single and all what are 3 qualities u look for in a woman? -we are both big fans!
Mark says: EYES, BIG HAIR and NICE SKIN! Actually there are lots of things: it only takes one ASSet for a woman to captivate me.

brybry123: What theme was your favourite?
Mark says: ABBA!

bigbrolover4eva18: what was your fave idol experience?
Mark says: Smelling Ricki-Lees hair. hahahaha

tazitombi: Mark my favourite idol contestant, if you had the opportunity to go on Idol again, what would you do differently??
Mark says: The only thing that I would do differently if I was to revisit Idol, would be to be more prepared and try and have a better idea of exactly what sort of artist I wanted to be and fight towards that regardless of what people said.

jojo59: what's your fave colour
Mark says: Either red or blue. Red and blue were my school colours, I support Melbourne Demons (AFL) and Superman and Spiderman are my 2 fave super heroes.

AshPhoenix92516243: What's your fave soccer team and player, Mark?
Mark says: Middlesborough is the team, and the Socceroos goalie Schwarzer!!! (yes I can spell it!!!)

sonjenai: mark what is your favourite band?
Mark says: WOW! Nirvana (closely followed by Abba)

*Daniela*: What's your favourite food?
Mark says: Avocado on crumpets!

bt1787: If you could choose a theme for Idol that wasn't one of the ones from this year, what would you pick and what song from that theme?
Mark says: I would think Rock and Roll Cemetery (all dead artists) or Soundtracks from movies. I would have done "She's Like The Wind" by Patrick Swayze.

siennapaige: Who would you turn gay for??  :)
Mark says: Thanh Bui!!!

Mark says: Ok I have to go now. I've had the most unbelievable time singing for all of you lovely people and I can't express enough how much love I have for all of you people who have enjoyed and voted for all my performances I cant wait to now get stuck into an album and knuckle down to make some true and real music that you'll all understand and can take something from and hopefully I can connect with you guys the way that the music I have listened to has connected to me. THANK YOU ALL once again for the support and hope to see you all for many years to come!!!

  Teale Jakubenko Chat Transcript

Teale: Hey everyone! I'm here!!! Really looking forward to answering your questions.

Nomenclature says: Hello Teale, you must perform in Shanghai sometime - I'm heading there in 2 days.  Seriously, I never thought I'd contribute to this forum, but you have moved me (as u did with Jermaine!) to register and log into to let you know my thoughts.  Best wishes.
TEALE says: I'd love to perform everywhere all over the world so hopefully Shanghai is in that plan, but thanks for your lovely comments. It's awesome to know I've got people out there who like what I do. THANK YOU!

jess19920 says: what was your far-out theme of this season ?
TEALE says: Michael Jackson!! I thought that was my best performance.

Wolfed says: Did you think you would leave idol tonight? Or was it a surprise?
TEALE says: I totally knew I was gone tonight coz I think Wes is just unbelievable and he deserves to win.

fannanafa says: Who was your closest friend in the house?
TEALE says: These tope 3 guys - we all get along awesome.

catcow888 says: Hi teal! I was wondering...what was it like dancing with Kyle and who did you think was a better dancer...you or him?
TEALE says: Me for sure!!! I should teach him sometime. ha-ha!

fannanafa says: If you were to stay for one more week, what song would you have chosen to sing?
TEALE says: I was going to do "Some Day Some day" by Thirsty  Merc and 'Makes Me Wonder' by Maroon 5.

s_h_i_r_l_e_y says: is there any song you would have liked to have sung that you didn't get to?
TEALE says: "How To Save A Life" by the Fray and any original of mine.

LILTOM1993 says: hey Teale what was your favourite performance this year
TEALE says: For me, "Billie Jean", but out of the others, "Black Or White" by Wes.

*Daniela* says: Hey Teale! You were/are  an awesome singer!! What's your favourite chocolate bar??
TEALE says: Turkish Delight.

fannanafa says: From the beginning of your journey, who did you think would’ve won Australian Idol?
TEALE says: I'd have to say Chrislyn or Wes.

radioboy says: Hey Teale, congrats on making it so far.  Have really enjoyed you in Idol this year.  How much of a wild ride has it been for you?
TEALE says: It's been a very wild ride, but the best ride of my life and hopefully there's plenty more rides to come, maybe even a roller coaster ride.

lozzafrog says: what are your plans now?
TEALE says: I actually have to a lot of practice over the next couple of weeks for the Opera House, and after that I wanna sing, write and tour.

iluvFOB says: hey Teale, who is your fave judge?
TEALE says: Dicko for sure. Can't wait to catch up with him outside of Idol.

fannanafa says: Which guest judge inspired you the most and why?
TEALE says: Wow that's tough. It's a toss up between Chris Isaak and Darren Hayes.

Fwzerrr says: Teale what's your favourite song? Dying to know!
TEALE says: One of my all time favourites is "Heaven Knows" by Rick Price, but my favourite at the moment is "Are You In" by Incubus.

johno44 says: hey teal at the end of tonight's show what did Chris Isaak say to you
TEALE says: He said when he's touring, he wants me to tour with him and he thinks I'll do very well in the future which was very kind of him.

pricelessprincesz says: how did it feel when ur name was called to leave the show?
TEALE says: Because I felt I knew it was going to happen, I was sweet as and ready to sing my farewell song to you all.

connor1996 says: hey Teale my name is Connor just wanted to know what was your hardest song to perform in idol
TEALE says: Hi Connor - I would have to say that "Billie Jean" is probably the hardest, but I love a challenge.

amiraaustin says: Do you think that you have grown as a performer or have you just come out of your shell more? and also, how long have you been playing guitar for..
TEALE says: I've been playing guitar since I was 16 and I think I've come out of my shell more, but definitely grown as a performer as I've never performed without a guitar until doing this show.

hommus says: Wow, I'm just hearing your performance of Cable Car (I live in SA) and it was incredible. What is your favourite TV Show? I'm doing a fact file on you and writing a magazine article about your time on Idol for a school thing so it would be great to know.
TEALE says: Thank you so much, glad you liked it. My favourite TV shows are "Two And A Half Men" and "The Simpsons".

sweetassuga says: Hey Teale sad to here your gone, who had the worst habit in the house?
TEALE says: Chrislyn - her constant loudness at inappropriate times, but I think she's great. She used to play the piano and sing on a microphone (ie amplified) very loud and very late at night.

auzi_surfer says: Does the thought of teaming up with one of the fellow idols forming a duet interest you?
TEALE says: If I had to do a duet with someone, it would be Wes. We jam a lot and come up with some cool music and we'd love to share that with everyone. We'll see what happens.

pattygags says: hi teal, what has been the biggest highlight of this idol journey?
TEALE says: Singing "Billie Jean" in front of Jermaine Jackson and him saying it moved him.

impulsee656 says: did at any stage in the competition you think no I have made a huge mistake?
TEALE says: Never. I've remained myself the whole time, and I will continue to do so the rest of my life.

Wescarishot says: Teale what has been the best advice you have been given this year by the judges?
TEALE says: Just to learn to let go and not give a crap (in a sense) ie, that I don't care what people think (in the nicest way possible). Let go and get into it.

char28 says: After Idol what genre of music you wanna be known for?
TEALE says: I have been saying "Sprock" all along, which is SOUL/POP/ROCK - so we'll go with that for now, but who knows where the future lies with my musical style.

Bindy-Jane says: How did the idol experience make you grow as a man and a performer?
TEALE says: I think I'm less shy now, and I've learnt to take everything as it comes - "it is what it is". That's my new way of thinking.

alanaaaaaaaaa says: when you auditioned for idol, did you really think you'd make it this far?
TEALE says: To be honest, I thought I had the ability to get this far but I was mainly hoping for the public to connect with who I was and if I didn't do that, I thought I wouldn't last long. Thank God I made the Top 4.

**Kirsten** says: Hey Teale, what do you think is the hardest part about being an idol contestant? was there anything that you didn't like about the process?
TEALE says: Yes it was hard, but the hardest thing was not getting any time with the band until show day to rehearse and iron out any creases ahead of time.

2006134 says: Hey Teale. Well done you're amazing. What's it like living in a house full of talented singers, boys and girls? Is it very different to a house full of just boys?
TEALE says: It was great to be surrounded by people of my own kind (musicians) - I haven't been around many musicians before and I feel I found my musical brothers and sisters. I know now more than ever that singing and performing is what I'm meant to do.

MadMax333 says: Hey Teale do u think u will do a bit of acting?
TEALE says: I have done one musical before but that was mainly for my singing - but it would have to be a pretty cool acting role for me to take it on as acting's never been my forte.

G-Sta88 says: Sup Man? How awesome is it to have Ricki-Lee with you guys as a mentor the whole way through, being a previous idol contestant and going on to achieve an enormous amount of awards etc being indie as well ?
TEALE says: It's great to see that she successful after her time on Idol and it makes me happy to know that because I didn't win, I've still got a chance of doing well myself.

gwoods2424 says: who was a better fan? mum or dad?
TEALE says: Mum and Dad - sorry to disappoint you but they were both great!!!

Softcheeks says: How do you think you have dealt with all your fans, like do you love the attention, or is it hard always being on camera?
TEALE says: I'm glad when I make my fans happy, but attention wise, I'm just a normal guy who loves to sing and to be on TV is just a bonus.

N-Jam! says: Teale, I am going to a singing comp on Friday, and I really hope I win, got any advice to cool my nerves?
TEALE says: Just blow up a balloon a few times, make sure your body is warmed up physically, and your voice, and a few deep breaths right before you go on. You'll be fine.

metalbabe72 says: Hey Teale - what is your guitar of choice?
TEALE says: Taylor K-14 CE 98 model.

travman96 says: Who's your favourite host?
TEALE says: James - we share a love of golf and we talk about it all the time. We still haven't had a game yet and now that I am gone that wish will come true hopefully.

alanaaaaaaaaa says: are there any quotes or sayings that you live by ?
TEALE says: "It Is What It Is" is one and "Go Hard Or Go Home".

wescarrrulz says: Hey Teale, now that your eliminated, who do you think will win Australian Idol?
TEALE says: Wes. I want him to win. He's amazing.

alanaaaaaaaaa says: what's your favourite ice-cream flavour?
TEALE says: I prefer Gelati over ice cream and it would be strawberry flavoured.

IPgreenkeepers says: Has this been the journey you expected...
TEALE says: Sort of... But not to the same extent. A lot of surprises, a lot of mentors, a lot of crazy things but the best year to be on Idol - FOR SURE!!!

parraRock says: Did you miss home & family one bit, or were you having too much fun ?
TEALE says: I forgot to say before that the hardest thing for me was not being with my girlfriend so yes, I missed my girlfriend so much and can't wait to spend more than a day with her.

G-Sta88 says: Hey does your name have a special meaning or did your parents name you after the colour, Teale?
TEALE says: Thank you G-Sta88 for adding the 'e' and spelling my name right but I would have to ask my parents that question coz I actually don't know.

IceQueen666 says: If you could meet one musician, who would it be and why?
TEALE says: Stevie Wonder coz he's such an inspiration in every way, musically and morally. Ok everyone - it's time for me to go. I'm so sorry for not being able to answer all your questions. It's been fun. I'm sure you will be seeing more of me somehow and some day. Take care everyone - SEE YOU IN THE FUTURE - LOVE TEALE!!!

Chrislyn Hamilton Chat Transcript

ChrislynIDOL says: HEY EVERYONE!!! I'm here now and ready to take your questions!!!

fannanafa says: Which performance you performed was your favourite in idol?
ChrislynIDOL says: My favourite performance was "True Colours" because it was the first time I really opened up to the public showing them who I was and one of my biggest highlights was definitely making Cindi Lauper cry.

fannanafa says: Which idol contestant in the house were you closest to?(including eliminated and the ones that are still in)
ChrislynIDOL says: At the moment all the boys are soooo amazing. They support me through everything and anything and they are a pleasure to live with. And I really want Wes to win. The person I was most closest to was Brooke because she was my age and we connected because we were both silly.

annacoleta says: Hi  Chrislyn, Sorry to see you go.I had you pegged to win.You are still a winner in my eyes though. What are your plans for the future and how far do you want to go with your singing.  All the best with whatever you do  and I hope to hear a lot more of you
ChrislynIDOL says: I hope to first of all go home and rest for about a month getting some sleep and spend some quality time with my family and friends and from there on, I'm going to get to work and make the best of this opportunity.

Yasbel1 says: Hi Chrislyn, I was just wondering, if you wanted to sing a duet with anyone in the world, past or present, who would it be?
ChrislynIDOL says: One of the people that i would dearly love to collaborate with would be Aretha Franklin. She's MY Idol and it would be a dream come true.

Nikkiberm says: Hi Chrislyn, You're an AMAZING singer. I thought you would win.. What is it like to preform infront of millions of people?
ChrislynIDOL says: The adrenalin rush you get when you're on the stage is undescribable. I'm so happy to be sharing my gift with the Australian Public and I absolutely love being on stage.

KimIdol says: Hey Chrislyn fantastic job on idol and what a great way to say goodbye GOOD JOB! :) you leave a sparkle wherever you go you beautiful thing!  ... my question is which hairstyle did you enjoy wearing the most?
ChrislynIDOL says: The hairtsyle that I enjoyed the most was the 80's little thing going on for 80's night because it was comfortable and it didnt make my face look like a potato! haha

fannanafa says: hey chrislyn, if you weren't a singer, what career would you be?
ChrislynIDOL says: If I wasn't a singer, I don't feel like I would exist. Singing is my all time passion and I can't imagine myself doing anything else.

LyliaRUMMAGE says: What was the biggest fear you overcome during your time on idol?
ChrislynIDOL says: The biggest fear for me was not being loved by the public. In the past few weeks, I've just learnt that people are either gonna like you or they're not and I have learnt that all I need to do is be myself and everything would be ok.

suspira says: hi chris who was your favourite judge?
ChrislynIDOL says: My favourite judge would have to be Dicko. He gave criticism and he backed it up and he showed me ways to change and improve my performance. And also, he is a great person and I will never forget the judges because they're fantastic.

andrew08 says: another question.. what was kyle doing to u during your final performance, LOL
ChrislynIDOL says: He was a frustrated back up dancer and he was going for it.

meggieboo says: chrislyn, how did you cope being away from your family at only 17 and not having them there to support you ?
ChrislynIDOL says: I honestly don't know. I just focused on what was ahead and tried not to thing about where my family were and what they were doing.

Amanda297 says: You rock girl! You should have won! Are you nervous at all before you go on, and is there any way you make yourself feel better?
ChrislynIDOL says: I am very... no... EXTREMELY nervous before I go on stage. But once I'm up there, I feel at home.

lil_por2gz_95 says: my question is which music did you grow up listing to?
ChrislynIDOL says: I grew up listening to Queen and the Beatles and ABBA! Weird I know but that's how my family rolls.

lovelaughing says: hey Chrislyn, Your amazing! im a 15 year old and i can see you so close to living your dream, what advice do you give me to live my dreams?  [sorry if that doesn't make sence]
ChrislynIDOL says: No matter what dream you have, yoo always have to no matter what be true to yourself and believe that you can make it because only you can make that dream work and listen to your gut insticts!

foxywhiskers says: Hello Chrislyn, which celebrity judge/s did you find you gained the most valuable tips from during the weeks of training with them and what was the advice given?
ChrislynIDOL says: The judges that I gained knowledge from would have to be Cindi Lauper and Guy Sebastian. Both of them have had some interesting experiences and I find them both really inspiring. Cindi Lauper said to always establish the story in the song and portray to... the best of your abilities and Guy knew what Idol was like and how it worked and that helped me a lot in this competition.

meggieboo says: chrislyn, are you going to return to school ?
ChrislynIDOL says: At this point, I don't know if I'm going back to school but I definitely want to make the most of this opportunity.

sweetassuga says: Hey chrislyn, sad to hear you have gone. :(. What was it like being the only girl in the house full of boys? and who had the worst habbit and what was it?
ChrislynIDOL says: The worst habit that ALL the boys have is them letting it rip, on other words FARTING!!! Luke was the worst and Mark's were the smelliest, but all in all they're great people.

angelbitch says: What did your family and friends think when you said about doing idol? Were they supportive?
ChrislynIDOL says: All my family supported me 100% and for that I will love and cherish them no matter what for the rest of my life. And my mum especially who is really proud of me.

ElephantJelly says: Chrislyn, what was your favourite themed night?
ChrislynIDOL says: My favourite theme night would have to be Idol's Idol. It was the closest I was to my natural style of music and I got the first touchdown.

MissSunny says: Hey Chrislyn i just want to say that I really inspire what you have done this year on idol and that you have done a fantastic job. How did you cope with some of the comments from Kyle and Dicko
ChrislynIDOL says: All you have to remember is they have a job to do and they're only trying to help. What they say has some sort of relevance to it. The judges have been fantastic this year and I love them.

1katrina2 says: is there any kind of advice someone has given you through your idol journey that you always think of before going on stage
ChrislynIDOL says: My singing teacher at home - her name is Tracy - always said that if you're not gonna feel what you're singing, theyre's no point in doing it.

AussieIdol2008 says: My question is :What is the funniest or coolest sign you have ever seen held up in the crowd?
ChrislynIDOL says: The funniest (haha) sign I've seen was a person dressed up in a Michael Jackson outfit with "Chrislyn for Idol" on her t shirt.

MissSunny says: Chrislyn i started singing when i was 10 but my pitching has been way off can you give me some tips
ChrislynIDOL says: If you don't have a singing teacher at this point, then you should get one, otherwise you will develop bad habits that will effect you in the future.

MissSunny says: What has the best part of idol been for you this year?
ChrislynIDOL says: The best part of Idol this year was getting up on stage and singing in front of millions of people. That has been my dream since I was so little. I can't believe I got to fulfill that at my age.

sdbaohm7 says: when you went to the arias what was the best thing about it
ChrislynIDOL says: The best thing about the Arias was seeing Pink's performance that night!!!  Also meeting all the fabulous artists that have inspired me through the years.

Zacos89 says: how long have you wanted to go on australian idol for. and have you auditioned any other year
ChrislynIDOL says: This was my first year to audition and this was the only year that I felt more than ready to take that step and make myself heard.

ElephantJelly says: How do you feel about being pretty much the most succesful idol? 2 touchdowns and 3 cadbury performances
ChrislynIDOL says: To be that loved by everyone including the judges is an achievement in itself. I never ever thought in my whole entire life I would get this far. This has changed me from a girl to a woman.

sdbaohm7 says: having Rikki-Lee back stage did you find that  encouraging because she has been through the process before
ChrislynIDOL says: Ricki-Lee is the most beautiful person I've met in a long time. It's a bonus thyat she knows exactly what we're going through.

leeanne1422 says: hi chrislyn i am leeanne and in year 6 at hallam .p.s at school i am doing a persentation called r.t.a (round table assessment)we had to selected a topic ,my topic is on  singing so chirslyn my question is how doing you warm up to singing on stage ?
ChrislynIDOL says: Hi Leeanne from Hallam Public School... First of all, I do my vocal excercises and then I do some stretches and then I jump around with excitement before running on stage and giving it my everything.

laralou says: who are your personal idols? by the way I think you are amazing
ChrislynIDOL says: Aretha Franklin, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and the list goes on and on but they're my favourites.

natman89 says: what are your plans now that you have left idol? wat kind of artist do u see yourself as? (like wat style do you want to do)
ChrislynIDOL says: i was born as a soul singer and I will stay to true to that and sing soul and r&b (and love every minute of it).

Kimmy15031989 says: What are you going to do when you get home?
ChrislynIDOL says: SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then hopefully wake up.

YellowSunnies says: Do you keep in touch with the other idols who have left?
ChrislynIDOL says: Not as much as I would like to but they are definitely my friends and we will keep in touch.

Zacos89 says: have you talked to you family yet or will you talk to them tonigh/ also are you able to ring people when your in the house?
ChrislynIDOL says: We're free to do anything while in the house. I've spoken to my family and they'r ecool with my coming home and I'm really excited.
Ok everyone, I have to go now but I just want to say to all my fans... THANK YOU SO MUCH. I can't explain how happy I am to have been given this opportunity and I'm telling you now, this is not the last you've seen of me... You guys mean the WORLD to me - without you I would not have been strutting my stuff on the stage and for that I love and adore you all very much. Roshani Priddis Chat Transcript

EGirl76 says: Roshani, I'm so disappointed you were "ousted" tonight...you have a voice that goes gangbusters! I can imagine it must be tough to weigh up song choices between what you wanted to sing, & what would appeal to the audience. Was that difficult? All the best!
RoshaniIDOL says: GANGBUSTERS!! I love that term and I'm going to use it!! Yeah... song choice has been a difficult one, especially when we are given such specific themes. It's hard to pick a song that is appealing to the audience but also suits your performance style.

yazzixox says: who is the nicest judge backstage?
RoshaniIDOL says: Marcia...definitely. I have so much respect for her because she is a performer and really cares for us. She is such a cool chick that knows how to laugh

iluvaustralianidol says: hi roshani!! who is your favourite singer?? congrats on getting so far on idol!! :-)
RoshaniIDOL says: Hey :) Thank you! I have so many favourite singers.. I honeslty can't pick one ... but it's a cross between Aretha Franklin, Jill Scott, Stevie Wonder and um.....probably George Benson.

FrenchKittyCat says: Hey Roshani, Who was your favourite fellow housemate?
RoshaniIDOL says: Awww they are all my favourites - they are all my favourites! I like to "share the love" .. Madam and I were super close and Wes and Luke were also great

Stash_kallis says: i just wanted to know...If you were still Idol what song would you have sung next week?
RoshaniIDOL says: I would have sung BEAT IT! I'm so disappointed I can't perform it.. I'm sure I'll find another time to though!

kp1471 says: how old were u when u started singing
RoshaniIDOL says: I can always remember singing .... ever since I could talk. I grew up with alot of it in my house. I wanted to be the next 4 year old Whitney Houston!!

yazzixox says: I think I might try out for idol in a few years, and I was just wondering, what do you think is the best way to impress the judges?
RoshaniIDOL says: The best advice I can give you is to not try and impress the judges.. just do what you do best. If you try and fake it the judges will see through it. If you're honest and show your passion for music everyone will love you. GOOD LUCK!

MrBumbledumplestein says: Hi Roshani, you seem like an intelligent, down to earth, classy woman. Great job on Idol and good luck. My question is, do you ever read the forums?
RoshaniIDOL says: Thank you so much for your kind words - that so sweet. I haven't been reading the forums because it has been so BUSY but I make sure I read ALL the wonderful fan messages all the time. Keep sending them on!

poopooroony says: Roshani i love you you have a beautiful energy i have been loving you ever since i saw your beautiful face not 1 of your performances have not been amazing, my brother who recently past away loved you and he wanted you to win, i really wanted you to win..
RoshaniIDOL says: Thank you so much for your beautiful message. I'm sorry to hear of your loss but I just wanted to send you all of my love and all of my best wishes to you and your family during this tough time...peace to you all

amanda2705 says: If you could pick the winner, who would you choose and why?
RoshaniIDOL says: I think the winner has got to be Wes.. I just think he is an AMAZING amazing performer. He is an all rounder... intelligent, an all round nerd... musician - he plays the harmonica, drums, piano, guitar.... he's basically a one man band!

chocoholic101 says: Did you get to meet Chris Brown? What was he like?
RoshaniIDOL says: YEAH I got to shake Chris's hand. It was so cool! I haven't washed it since ha ha ha. He is an amazing singer, dancer and performer. I have alot of respect for what he can do and it was a dream come true to meet that kid.

xXxCATxXx says: heyy roshani, if you werent singing, what career would you choose? great job on idol!! xoxoxox\
RoshaniIDOL says: Thank you! I would probably choose something to do with fitness or natural therapies.. or bikram yoga instructing.

hlroposy says: Hi Roshani, what was the highlight of your idol journey?
RoshaniIDOL says: It was meeting all the beautiful people in all areas of this production. There are some really great..talented people that you come across and it's such a privilege to come across them :)

Perthrisha says: Roshani, you are a star..wherever you go you will shine!! What are your plans for the future..??? I wish you plenty of "light and success" for your beautiful future.
RoshaniIDOL says: Thank you so much for your message - it's so lovely, and thank you for your positive vibes it's something I really need to feel right now. For the future, I see MUSIC and performing in any sense of the word. I can't wait, because life starts now!

popcap01 says: is there a song you didnt sing but wanted to sing???
RoshaniIDOL says: Yeah there are so many songs that I wanted to sing on the show....like "Ain't No Body" Chaka Khan, "Hate On Me" by Jill Scott and probably "Change Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke

jedmorrison says: What would the best and most comfortable week have been roshani?
RoshaniIDOL says: Can I just say I've really enjoyed every week. Some have been busy and crazy.. and they have had their "moments" but I really enjoyed the rock week and the past week because I got to go to Tamworth.

fannanafa says: hey roshani, i simply adore you, you were one of my favourites but i was so sad you went out. I have been voting for you week after week. Just wandering... which song were you most proud of that you performed?
RoshaniIDOL says: Thanks for your message. I would probably say The Pretender and Wild Horses were my favourite performances.

aussielankan says: Roshani have you ever visited Sri Lanka?
RoshaniIDOL says: Unfortunately no I haven't! But that is SO on the cards now and I can't wait to go back and explore my heritage and learn a bit more about myself. I can't wait to see my beautiful country.

myanimus says: Good luck and I am sure we will be seeing a lot more of you real soon. Are you looking forward to getting back to spend some time with your friends and family?
RoshaniIDOL says: Thank you and yes, I am looking forward to seeing my friends and family. I've missed them so much. I can't wait to spend some time with them because they are my best friends!

chocoholic101 says: Were there any bad habits in the idol house?
RoshaniIDOL says: Ahhh....Chrislyn liked to stick post it notes on absolutely everything! The boys fart and burp alot ha ha ha ha ha

kelliestewart says: Who was one of the funniest people on idol?
RoshaniIDOL says: Luke Dickens is probably one of the funniest people I've come across in my entire life. I LOVE country humour. He always seems to have the coolest thing to say at the right time.

kasunim says: hey roshani. my ame is kasuni & im sri lankan. i would just like 2 say the whole sri lkankan community is proud of u
RoshaniIDOL says: Awwwwww thank you so, so much that is really nice :) I appreciate your support and your faith through this whole competition.

chocoholic101 says: who was the greatest inspiration out of all the people you worked with in the idol workshops or just generally on the show?
RoshaniIDOL says: I have to say every single mentor that we had was a complete inspiration to me in different ways. They all had a different way of making you realise that at the end of the day, it's all about music.

Purpleplunky says: Was it fun returning to Tamworth like a "conquering hero"?
RoshaniIDOL says: Tamworth is an AMAZING city and their support was phenomenal. In a strange little way I sorta did feel like a hero for a few minutes.

chocoholic101 says: if you had an album what would you call it?
RoshaniIDOL says: That is a question I cannot answer - I'm so sorry!! It would have to be something to do with the material on the album and something that relates to the whole creative process involved in making an album.

fannanafa says: does anyone give you advice on your song choices or do you just pick them yourself? and if you choose them, do you usually choose the songs that sound nice or the songs that show how good your vocals are?
RoshaniIDOL says: It's really important to choose songs that showcase your vocals, but it also has to be known by the audience. No one gives you advice, you have to just trust yourself and your own decisions that it will be the right one.

danny76 says: Have you got any songs written ready for an album if you were successful in getting a record deal? What style or sound would your own songs have?
RoshaniIDOL says: I have written bits and pieces but I think the thing I need to do is collaborate with good song writers. I would write material in soul funk / neo soul styles.

CelestialMemory says: What was your favourite theme night?
RoshaniIDOL says: I really liked rock night. It was an awesome night for me and I really enjoyed it. Rock ROCKS!
