Please complete this sentence:  'I first realised I wanted to become a professional singer when…'
I couldn’t stop performing songs for my mum and sisters. I loved it – I wanted to do it as a career for the rest of my life!

What is your favourite song? Please tell us why you love that particular song.
I can’t choose between two TOTAL opposite songs. 1 is ‘Man in the Mirror’ by Michael Jackson and 2 is Aenema by Tool. The reason? I think both singers want to improve themselves and others, Tool focuses more on getting rid of the bad.

Which previous finalist do you find most inspiring and why?
Carl Riseley – he is an amazing muso and has stayed true to himself – LOVE IT

Describe your feelings at your first audition.
Nerves, sick, nerves and… nerves!! I never knew I was capable of freaking out so much

Obviously, it’s important to have a strong voice, but what other aspects give a performer ‘star quality’? Please explain your answer.
Understanding how important it is to connect with emotions, especially your own and connecting with other people. Communication is the key! And of course be cool…

What would you call your debut single?
 Wait…there’s more!

Why do you think Australian Idol is an important part of our local music industry?
Because it searches far and wide to find people that have found it hard to get exposure or meet the right people to grow musically with.

Which artist (dead or alive) would you most like to perform a duet with and why?
Chris Cornell from Soundgarden/Audioslave because I think we would make vocal magic together! I just think we would compliment each other, he’s my fav. and we are on the same wave length.

What’s the best thing about being on Australian Idol?
Singing! Learning about others and myself…maybe attention has something to do with it. Sad, but honest – much like myself.

Who is your favourite judge and why?
Dicko – I think he gives good criticism, he makes sense, he’s honest, passionate, and has a lot of experience in this industry. Marcia and Kyle are close second though!

Please complete this sentence: The one thing I want Australia to know about me is…
I could represent Australia well. I would put my whole self on the line, I am hard working, can write songs and don’t want to be a one hit wonder – I could do Australians proud!!!

What’s the best piece of advice someone has given you?
Be yourself and you’ll go far
